(Liputan6) 72 Countries, Parliaments Confirmed their Presence at Asia- Africa Conference
Both Jakarta and Bandung city have gone through a series of refurbishment as the 60th Asia- Africa Conference Commemoration is only few days away.
With numerous honoured foreign delegates confirmed presence, a physically- prepared representation of the two cities is deemed necessary.
The event commences on the 19th and ends on 24th of April 2015. Bandung will only serve the conference once, that is on the last day of the conference.
Latest update suggested that the Ministry of Foreign Relations’ confirmed 72 foreign delegations attendance to the long-awaited event.
"Contextually speaking, so far there are already 72 countries confirming their attendance to the event," Ministry of Foreign Relations Spokesperson, Arrmanatha Nasir informed at his office, Monday (13/4/2015).
Arrmanatha further informed how almost half of those 72 countries will have its highest officials dispatch as their governmental representatives.
This suggests the likeliness of figures at President or Prime Minister level to be present during the event.
Arrmanatha did not provide any further information about the name of countries intending to send off its highest ranked officials.
He only shared how he is hoping for the number of incoming foreign delegations to increase as time progresses.
"Some countries decide to have their Ministers, statesmen or special envoy representing their countries," he added.
The 60th Asia- Africa Conference Commemoration will be held in Jakarta from the 19 to 23 of April and in Bandung on the 24 of April 2015.
The events primary agenda covering issues such as ‘Asia- Africa Business Summit’ and ‘Asia- Africa Carnival’.
The event is themed with mounting need for furtherance of mutually- beneficial cooperation among Asia and Africa countries as well as the urgency to improve citizens of Asia and African nations welfare.
